Data protection
Hamburg Airport is fully committed to safeguarding your privacy, and we take all reasonable care to make sure that your personal data is handled as stipulated in the German Data Protection Act. We believe that you have a right to know what information we collect via our website, when and how we save it and what we do with it. Our website was created in Germany and it is updated and maintained here; all personal data is treated in accordance with the legal regulations of the Federal Republic of Germany.

What happens when you visit our website?
It is our aim to keep improving our website and ensure that it provides all the information you need. For this reason we need to know the browsing preferences of our visitors: which pages interest you, what information is accessed and which parts of our network are of less interest. As a rule, no personal data will be collected or stored as you navigate our site, with the exception of the following details which are automatically transmitted during every http session:

Hamburg Airport does not use cookies. However, it is our opinion that cookie technology makes no significant contribution in helping us to maintain the high standard of our website.

Will you be asked to enter personal data?
Personal data are details that can be used to identify an individual person. If you browse through our site without filling out any forms then you leave absolutely no personal trace, only the information described above. In general, the above information is not personal, unless you have registered a static IP address in your own name.
