Hamburg Airport – with more than 12 million passengers and in excess of 170,000 take-offs and landings per year, it is the biggest airport in Northern Germany! However, Hamburg Airport is not only the gateway to the big wide world, but also a place that is as eventful and exciting as it gets.
The Airport Model Exhibition programme with the subsequent apron round trip is the ideal excursion destination for groups travelling by coach. Within the framework of a day trip, the approximately 3 hours you will be spending at Hamburg Airport allow you to select additional destinations and thus ensure that your guests will experience an eventful day in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
These offers are exclusively available to coach tour operators.
We offer your guests the following:
1. Airport Model Exhibition show
Experience Hamburg Airport with all its buildings, taxiways as well as runways and landing strips on a scale of 1:500. The night view of the miniature airport is illuminated by 5000 light-emitting diodes. The highlight of the show: model planes fly around the room as if by magic. Supported by a slide show, the visitor service staff will guide you through the programme, explain the buildings and the processes of take-off and landing as well as technical equipment.
Duration of the show: approx. 45 minutes
Shows: daily at 10 a.m., 12 noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m

2. Round trip of the aprons of Hamburg Airport and guided tour of the premises of the on-site fire brigade if desireduerwehr
The apron round trip provides you with the opportunity to experience the giants of the skies live and up close. You will get to witness the handling of an aircraft right in front of your eyes and watch the planes taking off and landing on the runways. For a period of 45 minutes, you will be inhaling the aroma of the apron and the great, wide world, gathering impressions that are bound to get under your skin. Within the framework of the round trip, you can also opt for a guided tour of the premises of the on-site fire brigade.
Round trips: every day as per individual arrangement
Duration of the round trip: approx. 60 minutes
Duration of the round trip incl. guided tour of the premises of the on-site fire brigade: approx. 90 minutes

Catering
In addition to the various options in terms of on-site tours and sights worth seeing, we offer coach travel groups the opportunity to have lunch or coffee and cake in our restaurant in Terminal 1 or in the Model Exhibition bistro to round off their airport experience. 
You will be seated at reserved tables and enjoy your lunch or piece of cake with a stunning view of the apron of Hamburg Airport. You will benefit from special group rates.
We will be glad to provide you with a customised offer. Please do not hesitate to request the latter when making your booking.
In the case of groups of 20 to 48 people, the food and drink will be free of charge for the driver. If the group consists of at least 48 people, both the tour guide(s) and the coach driver get to eat and drink for free.
How to get there / parking facilities
Thanks to the conveniently accessible and central location, the Airport Model Exhibition is within easy reach of the motorway A7 as well as the city centre.
