In Hamburg, 190 employees of AHS HAMBURG Aviation Handling Services handle check-in, run the IATA travel agency and perform other air traffic services. AHS HAMBURG Aviation Handling Services is owned by AHS Aviation Handling Services GmbH (51%) and Hamburg Airport GmbH (49%).

AHS Aviation Handling Services GmbH (AHS) handles passenger clearance at fifteen German airports on behalf of the airlines, and also their local representatives. AHS is jointly owned by Hamburg Airport (32,25%), Hanover Airport (34,75%), Bremen Airport (12%), Stuttgart Airport (10%), Airport Münster/Osnabrück (10%), by AirPart, Nuremberg (1%), and employs more than 1,000 staff throughout Germany.
