Pier South

The Passenger Pier, which was extended to the south in 2004, now has an additional six new passenger boarding bridges and eight new bus gates, making boarding even more convenient for passengers. The new section of the building gives the entire Pier an increased visual weighting vis-à-vis the terminals and completes its symmetry. All passenger facilities – such as waiting areas, passport controls, etc. – are located on the Departures level. An open pillar construction has made it possible to locate bus gates, air cargo handling areas and other operational facilities on the ‘ground floor’.
