Noise

Noise measurements are made continuously in and around Hamburg Airport. Evaluation of the data is also carried out by the airport’s Environmental Protection Unit, so that information can be made available promptly to local residents, authorities and government.
In addition, noise boundaries are calculated which on the one hand can show the current noise credit and on the other the boundaries of the noise protection programmes.
