- Information for passengers and motorists picking passengers up at the airport
Due to the subsidence of a large area directly in front of Terminals 3 and 4 (Departures) this area will remain closed until further notice. Terminals 1, 3 and 4 are open as usual for arrivals and departures. Hamburg Airport requests all passengers and visitors to observe the following recommendations:
- A number of short-stay parking spaces are available next to Car Park P4; these spaces are to be used only for dropping off passengers and unloading baggage.
- Car Parks P1, P2, P4, P6 and P7 are open and can be accessed as usual.
- Car Park P5 can only be accessed through the arrivals level.
- A free shuttle bus service runs every 5 minutes from Car Park P6 (Weg beim Jäger) to all terminals.
- Taxis picking up passengers can use the usual access roads on the arrivals level.
- Taxis dropping off passengers are requested to use the access road in the air cargo sector (Radar Tower drop-off point).
- All motorists collecting passengers at the airport are kindly requested to use the spaces in the car parks only.
- If possible, passengers are requested to use public transport or taxis to get to the airport.
- Rental cars can be collected and dropped off as usual in the Rentals Car Park.
These recommendations should be followed for the next few days. Hamburg Airport will notify passengers of any changes.
